Well from 11th of November Google will introduce what they call "shared endorsements". One of the key additions to the small print is to allow Google to use quotes and photos of users in advertising, meaning any positive comment you've previously made about a service, place or product via a Google site could be pulled out and served alongside your grinning face in your friends' search results.
In layman’s terms your face will pop up next to some advertising that you have +1 in the past or you have reviewed. Some of you may be content with this as it should only be available to your friend’s however for those of you that don’t want your face plastered over the internet we have a solution below.
In order to withdraw from Shared Endorsements, simply log in to your Google account (if you aren’t already logged in), click this link, which leads to the Shared Endorsement settings, scroll to the bottom of the page, and uncheck the box next to this statement: “Based upon my activity, Google may show my name and profile photo in shared endorsements that appear in ads.” Then click Save.
